Conville Guest Farm

Conville Guest Farm is a location for an ideal getaway or overnight stay en route to or from the eastern Cape. The farm is situated along the banks of the Orange River, with the house sitting approximately 800m above the river, just outside of Aliwal North. It offers guests a choice of staying in one of four rooms: the family suite (sleeps 4 with en-suite), the red room (double bed with en-suite), the green room (twin beds and bathroom, not en-suite), and the garden room (double with en-suite, shower only).

Each room has its own entrance, as well as being accessible from inside the house. The rooms feature the original brass poster beds, along with many other original antiques. A mattress can be added for a child. Breakfast is served in the old dining hall each morning. Guests can enjoy activities such as walking, birdwatching, and fishing on the farm. Aliwal North has a remarkable history involving the Boers and the British during the Anglo-Boer wars, as well as two mineral hot springs. Guests can visit the Kerk plein Museum and the memorial of remembrance.
