Copperleigh Trout Lodge

Copperleigh Trout Lodge is a stunning and modern self-catering holiday home located in the picturesque town of Dargle. The establishment overlooks the calm waters of the 10ha Mavela Dam, creating a serene and tranquil atmosphere that is perfect for fly fishermen. It is conveniently situated near the popular Midlands Meander, allowing guests to explore the area's vibrant arts and crafts scene.

Designed as a two-story unit, Copperleigh Trout Lodge is located within a fully functioning sheep and cattle farm, providing guests with an authentic countryside experience. The ground floor features an open-plan lounge, a fully equipped kitchen, a spacious dining room, a garage, and a guest toilet. Complimentary DSTV Premium, WiFi, and a daily bundle of firewood for indoor and outdoor fires are provided.

Upstairs, the lodge offers three bedrooms that can accommodate up to 10 guests. The master bedroom has a queen bed and a single bed, while the second bedroom contains a queen bed. Both rooms have ceiling fans. The loft room is suitable for children, with a queen bed, a bunk bed for four kids, and a skylight that can be opened for ventilation. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a shower, toilet, and heated towel rail. The second bathroom, shared between the second and third bedrooms, has a walk-in shower and toilet. All beds are fitted with electric blankets, and each bedroom includes a hairdryer. Linens and bath towels are provided.

Guests at Copperleigh Trout Lodge have free access to the Mavela Dam for "Catch & Release" trout fishing, which is stocked annually with Brown and Rainbow trout by the NFFC. Scenic walking trails with well-maintained paths are available on the farm, and a kayak with paddles and life jackets is provided for exploring the dam. Small dogs are allowed with a pre-arranged pet levy. Additionally, the establishment offers a deluxe log cabin, Copperleigh Trout Cabin, designed for couples or small families seeking a romantic getaway.
