Cussonia Cottage is a charming self-catering accommodation situated on a working timber farm in a prime hilltop location. The property derives its name from the indigenous "Mountain Cabbage" Trees that surround it and offers spectacular views of the Iron Crown and Wolkberg mountains.

The location provides panoramic vistas encompassing mixed indigenous montane forest, pine and gum plantations, stretching as far as Haenertsburg. The area's rare indigenous forest patches are home to diverse wildlife, including Samango monkeys, Longcrested eagles, duikers, and bushbucks.

The property offers guests the freedom to explore extensive grounds, including manicured gardens, wild grasslands, plantations, and indigenous forest. The location is particularly appealing to bird enthusiasts, with regular sightings of Knysna Louries, Double-collared Sunbirds, and other rare avian species in the gardens.
