Daberas Guest Farm is situated in the remote location of Augrabies, Northern Cape, South Africa. Located in the Lower Orange River Valley, also known as "The Lost Valley of Precious Stones," the property shares its western boundary with the Augrabies Falls National Park and has been completely independent from the national power grid for over 15 years.
The farm offers two accommodation options: Cape Ebony Lodge and Star Tree Lodge. Cape Ebony Lodge features two luxury en-suite rooms and can accommodate up to five guests. It includes a lounge, well-equipped kitchen, large thatched veranda, and BBQ facilities. A distinctive feature is its rose quartz exterior walls and outdoor bathroom with bathtub and shower. Star Tree Lodge is an open-plan house that can accommodate up to four guests, featuring two en-suite bedrooms, each with additional outdoor bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, lounge, wrap-around stoep, private swimming pool, and BBQ facilities. Both lodges are equipped with low-energy water cooling systems for comfort during summer months.
The property is dedicated to conservation and boasts rich biodiversity, having been featured in several TV documentaries. Visitors can expect to encounter abundant wildlife, including leopards, fish eagles, black eagles, and large congregations of Namakwa and double-banded sandgrouse. The surrounding landscape offers mountains, dry river beds, rock formations, sand dunes, and quiver trees. The farm's renowned 4x4 track has been featured in outdoor magazines and documentaries, with guided tours available upon advance booking.
