Danielshoogte Private Reserve is a working farm rich in fynbos, situated at the top of Aurora Mountain, approximately 800 meters above sea level. It features spectacular views of St Helena Bay on the beautiful West Coast as well as the farmlands of Piketberg to the east. On clear days, Table Mountain is visible in the far distance.

The private reserve offers a relaxed country getaway, away from the hustle and bustle of city life. It has three self-catering mountain cottages situated in various locations on the farm. The reserve is home to a diverse array of fauna and flora, making it an appealing destination for outdoor enthusiasts. It is a haven for bird watchers, with 85 different bird species sighted thus far. The Protea Atlas Project has identified several endangered and endemic protea species within the reserve.

Hikers and cyclists can explore the natural surroundings, which feature rocky outcrops and bushman paintings. Visitors can cool off in one of the dams on a hot summer's day. The reserve has a minimum charge per night for the Aristea, Chink, and Disa cottages, and guests are advised to request the appropriate tariffs.

The Aristea cottage has three bedrooms and two bathrooms, with the master bedroom featuring en-suite facilities. It is equipped with standard kitchen appliances, crockery, and cutlery for six people. The unit also has a Jetmaster fireplace and an outside braai area with spectacular views of St. Helena Bay. The minimum charge for this cottage is R1200 per night for up to four people.

The Chink and Disa cottages have a minimum charge of R600 per night for up to two people, and guests are advised to request the appropriate tariffs.
