Dargle Forest Lodge is a family-run establishment situated in the scenic Dargle Valley of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Positioned between the Inhlosane Mountain range and natural pine forests, this retreat offers a back-to-nature experience with panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. The property is conveniently located a short drive from the Midlands Meander.
The venue was established by owners Bridgette and Sean in 2015, who transformed a derelict farm into a thriving hospitality destination. Bridgette brings extensive hospitality experience from her international travel background, while Sean, a local from Nottingham Road and skilled auto mechanic, contributes his practical expertise to the operation.
The lodge features various accommodation options, including wooden cabins, safari tents, and a farmhouse. The farmhouse comprises three bedrooms, one bathroom, and includes amenities such as a Jacuzzi, fully equipped kitchen, and braai facilities. The basic cabins come with en-suite bathrooms and share a communal kitchen in the lapa area, equipped with essential amenities including wall heaters and fans.
As a wedding venue, Dargle Forest Lodge offers a glass chapel and a barn-inspired venue that can accommodate up to 150 guests. The property also caters to group functions and team-building activities. Visitors can engage in various outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, mountain biking, bird watching, and stargazing. The establishment's unique setting makes it suitable for couples, families, friends, and honeymooners seeking a peaceful retreat in nature.
