Dassenheuwel Farm Stay & Cottages

Dassenheuwel Farm Stay & Cottages is a tranquil accommodation located on a working wheat, cattle, and sheep farm. The property features an age-old homestead that has been restored for guests to refresh and revive their souls, surrounded by the beauty and sounds of nature. The self-catering house is situated just below the original homestead, offering complete privacy with its own entrance, garden, and fireplace.

The Farm Stay is equipped with amenities such as a TV with Netflix, Wi-Fi, homemade rusks, jam, milk, complimentary tea, coffee, filter coffee, and firewood (available at an additional cost). The bathroom features a shower and a huge bathtub. Nespresso coffee machines are available, but guests need to bring their own compatible Nespresso pods or purchase them from the on-site Honesty Bar.

In addition to the Farm Stay, Dassenheuwel Farm Stay & Cottages offers two fully equipped cottages, each sleeping two guests. These cottages provide a tranquil escape in nature without the noise of television. They feature kitchenettes, open-plan shower/toilet, outdoor braai areas, and spacious "stoeps" where guests can relax and enjoy the views. The cottages are equipped with Wi-Fi and Nespresso machines, with coffee pods available for purchase from the Honesty Bar or guests can bring their own.

Guests are encouraged to explore the surrounding area by visiting local wine farms, olive boutiques, or staying over after attending a wedding or festival in the valley. Mountain biking enthusiasts can bring their bikes and explore the area using the provided Route map. Alternatively, guests can enjoy a brisk walk up the Porceleinberg.

Please note that no pets are allowed at Dassenheuwel Farm Stay & Cottages. The property also offers a fully equipped and spacious two-bedroom house that can accommodate up to five people. One bedroom has a queen-size bed, while the other has three single beds. The house features an indoor and outdoor braai, a TV with Netflix, a fully equipped kitchen, a dining room, and one bathroom with a hot tub (bath) and shower. Free Wi-Fi is provided. The house also includes an air-conditioner in the living area and fans in both bedrooms. Guests can indulge in Egyptian cotton linen, goose feather down duvets, and enough bath towels. A hairdryer is also available. The Farm Stay is serviced daily, except on Sundays and some Saturdays.
