De Molen Farm is situated in the Rooiberge, between Clarens and the Golden Gate Highlands National Park, approximately 200 m off the scenic R712 route. It is a working farm that offers self-catering accommodation in three rustic sandstone cottages and provides mountain views. The farm has a stud herd of Nguni cattle and sheep.

The three rustic cottages are Fisherman's Cottage, Oak Tree Cottage, and Hideaway Cottage. They feature romantic fireplaces and electric blankets for chilly evenings, are fully furnished, and come equipped with linens and towels. The cottages are serviced daily. Additionally, The Old Milkshed accommodates larger groups, and guests have access to a patio, a wooden deck, and a braai facility. The farm supplies linens, blankets, towels, firewood, toilet paper, and soap. The unit is also serviced daily.

The farm offers 300 hectares of wide-open space to explore. Guests can enjoy hiking trails, gentle walks, mountain biking, bird watching, and river fishing on a catch-and-release basis for an additional charge. There are picnic areas on the farm, and guests can explore 7 km of the Little Caledon River and caves.

The town of Clarens is 9 km away and offers restaurants, pubs, art galleries, and coffee shops. Other attractions include the Cherry Festival and Asparagus farm tours in Ficksburg, bushman paintings, Clarens Golf Course, and the Golden Gate Highlands National Park. Activities in the area include abseiling, white water rafting, horse riding, and quad biking.

Fisherman's Cottage can accommodate five guests in two bedrooms with five single beds. It has two en-suite bathrooms with showers, an open-plan kitchen, lounge, and dining area, a patio, and its own private garden.
