De Molen Guest House

De Molen Guest House offers guests a tranquil and secure setting high up on the slopes of the Helderberg Mountain, with panoramic views of the sea, mountains, and winelands. The stylishly decorated, spacious rooms and suites maintain an Old Cape charm while providing modern luxuries. Delicious breakfasts are served on private balconies, in the breakfast room, or on the sunny verandah overlooking the beautiful garden and swimming pool.

The Main House features three large suites, six double rooms, and two family semi-self-catering rooms, each with incredible views of the mountains, winelands, and garden. The suites offer stunning panoramas over the bay, and all rooms are en-suite with amenities such as hospitality trays, minibars, and satellite TV. The cottages at De Molen are surrounded by lush vegetation and high trees, providing shade from the African sun. The two-bedroom cottage includes a double bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, and lounge, while the one-bedroom cottage offers a bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and a lounge with a kitchenette.

Guests can enjoy leisurely walks around the large, lush garden and observe the various bird species. The well-stocked bar offers a fine selection of wines appreciated by guests. Barbecue facilities are available, and guests can relax with an aperitif at sunset. De Molen is one of the few places where wind does not interfere with outdoor activities. Nearby attractions include the Winelands, upmarket restaurants and shopping centers in Somerset West and Stellenbosch, sandy beaches, scenic mountain trails, and prestigious golf courses such as Erinvale.

De Molen Guest House accommodates up to 36 people on both a bed and breakfast and self-catering basis. It offers rooms with unforgettable views and a special atmosphere of serenity and quietness, making it a perfect romantic getaway. The self-catering and semi-self-catering units are suitable for family vacations, with a family apartment featuring two bedrooms, one with a king-size bed and another with twin beds, a large bathroom with a bathtub and shower, two balconies with stunning mountain views, and a basic kitchenette.
