De Oude Kasteel

De Oude Kasteel is a guest house located in the village of Riebeek Kasteel, situated on the slopes of the Kasteelberg mountain. It consists of a restored Victorian house and two cottages. The main house features two lounge areas, a fireplace, an open-plan fully equipped kitchen, and an outdoor braai area with a plunge pool. The cottages are equipped with a kitchen, a lounge, a fireplace, a dining area, and a private patio.

The guest house offers secure parking and a beautiful garden with mountain views. The houses are within walking distance of the village of Riebeek Kasteel, where visitors can enjoy wine tasting, beer tasting, olive tasting, hiking, shopping, and more. The guest house can accommodate up to 14 guests in total, spread across the three houses.

The main house sleeps 4/5 guests, the Sunrise Cottage sleeps 6/7 guests, and the Honeymoon Cottage sleeps 2 guests. The Honeymoon Cottage is separate from the main house and surrounded by a romantic garden. It features a cozy fireplace and a small stoep to enjoy the garden filled with birdlife in the moonlight.

Many families have enjoyed staying at De Oude Kasteel, spreading themselves across the two houses with the Honeymoon Cottage in between. The accommodation offers comfortable facilities and large lounges, making it suitable for extended family celebrations such as Christmas, New Year, weddings, and birthdays.
