De Village Lodge is situated in the valleys of the Nhlanganiso River, surrounding the Kruger National Park under the Skukuza sunset. The lodge offers a true, undiluted experience of Africa, providing guests with an opportunity to immerse themselves in the sights, sounds, smells, and unforgettable views of the continent. It presents an African beehive of multiple cultural experiences, offering a glimpse into the diverse cultures of Mpumalanga, including the Swazi, Shangaan, Zulu, and Ndebele traditions.

The lodge provides tours of the village, allowing guests to witness how the people of Mpumalanga lived in the past through photographs and exhibits. Visitors can experience the beauty of the Mpumalanga horizon at sunrise, listen to the African beat during sunset, and hear ancient tales in the relaxing afternoons. They can savor authentic African cuisine, enjoy the sounds and melodies of Africa as villagers sing and dance in traditional attires, and have their fortunes told by a Sangoma (traditional healer) in the Sangoma Hut.

De Village Lodge offers accommodation in high-class cultural huts built to make guests feel like African royalty in a comfortable setting. The main Cultural Village features eight (8) cultural huts, each with en-suite facilities and beautifully furnished with cultural interiors, replicating the traditional Nguni village dwellings. One hut is dedicated to the grandmother of the village (Liguma likagogo), serving as the heart of the cultural village and providing information about the way of life in the past.

In addition to the cultural huts, the lodge has four (4) Deluxe rooms, which are luxurious modern accommodations complete with amenities such as DSTV, air conditioning, en-suite bathrooms, bar fridges, and tea and coffee trays. These rooms offer a comfortable and contemporary experience while still allowing guests to immerse themselves in the rich cultural heritage of Mpumalanga.
