De Wagenhuis Guest House

The De Wagenhuis Guest House is a boutique accommodation establishment situated on the outskirts of Swellendam, offering an elegant country retreat. It dates back to 1794 and is renowned for its rich heritage and grandeur. The property was formerly the home of the late Grand Prix racer, Mr. Ian Fraser Jones, and is still owned by the same family today.

The guest house provides accommodation in two historical buildings, De Wagenhuis and Fraser-Jones, with a total capacity of 38 people. Additionally, there is a chapel on site that can accommodate 50 to 60 guests, making it a suitable venue for destination weddings. The establishment also caters for up to 60 people, making it an ideal choice for honeymoons, family holidays, business retreats, or simply a relaxing getaway.

Guests have access to a golf course located 15 kilometers away in Swellendam, which features a beautiful 9-hole course. As the property is a working farm, children are welcome to visit the dairy and witness the milking process. Furthermore, there are lovely orange orchards on site, providing a scenic setting for leisurely walks.
