Dewit Farmhouse

DeWit Farmhouse is a self-catering accommodation situated on Dwarsfontein farm, where the owners, Andre and Estelle, have been farming since 1998. The farmhouse, which opened in 2012, offers a unique experience of authentic farm living approximately 1.5 hours away from Johannesburg.

The farmhouse consists of four bedrooms, accommodating a total of eight guests, with two double beds and four single beds. Additional sleeping arrangements can be made prior to arrival if required. It features a fully equipped kitchen with cutlery, stove, fridge, and microwave, as well as two living rooms with built-in fireplaces, a porch, and a boma-style braai area. Guests are provided with a complimentary supply of wood for bonfires.

The farmhouse is surrounded by lush green fields, dams, and koppies, offering opportunities for various outdoor activities. Visitors can engage in mountain biking, quad biking, bass fishing, hiking trails, and game viewing on neighboring farms or explore the nearby Weltevreden Cave. The owners, Andre and Estelle, welcome guests to experience the tranquility and wholesome lifestyle of authentic farm living.
