The Diaz Hotel & Resort is located 50 meters from the high-water mark and offers spectacular ocean views from every window and balcony. The hotel was named in honor of the famous Portuguese navigator, Bartolomeu Dias, who landed in Mossel Bay in 1488. Themed on the long and vivid history of the area, the hotel offers guests a comfortable home away from home, with luxurious suites surrounded by the charm of heritage and attentive, considerate service throughout their stay.

The hotel is currently renovating rooms and indoor facilities. It offers free under-roof parking for all hotel guests. The outdoor rim-flow pool is reserved exclusively for hotel guests' use, with ample deck chairs available at the pool's edge. The hotel provides the following communal facilities for all guests: 24-hour front desk service, general travel desk, safe deposit box, room service (7 a.m. - 9:30 p.m.), laundry, on-premises convenience shopping center, ATM, disability-accessible facilities, communal lounge (foyer & restaurant), playground, and private surfing lessons upon request. Additionally, there is an indoor heated pool and water park.

Within close proximity to the captivating coastline and cool waves, the water park's Lazy River captures the essence of Diaz Beach - fun, action, and excitement. Guests can ride the tubes with friends or simply relax in the water and work on their tan while drifting along without a care. For those who prefer a faster ride, there is a high-speed super-tube with a superb view of the ocean. Guests can also play a round on the putt-putt course.

The hotel rooms are key card operated, non-smoking, and cleaned daily. Each room features a private sea-facing balcony with deck chairs and is equipped with luxurious amenities such as a coffee and tea tray, en-suite bathroom with bath, separate shower, twin basins and amenities, hair dryer, in-room safe, international plugs and shaver sockets, mini lounge, mini-bar fridge, opening windows, telephone, TV with DSTV, and a writing desk. The Presidential Suites include a double bed, a second bedroom with two single beds, and a mini-bar fridge.
