Die Blou Nartjie Guesthouse And Restaurant is situated in the Hantam town of Calvinia, halfway between Cape Town and Upington en route to the Kgalagadi. The guest house offers accommodation for business and leisure travelers, as well as families. It is highly recommended by the AA.

The guest house has 11 en-suite units to choose from, with each unit having its own outside door. There are 3 family units featuring a queen-size bed and a double bunk bed, suitable for families with smaller children. These units have an en-suite bathroom with a bath and shower over bath. Additionally, there are 2 family units with two queen-size beds in each room, designed for families with children aged 13 and older. These units have an en-suite bathroom with separate bath and shower, and the rooms can be connected.

For other guests, there are 5 double rooms available, with 3 of them featuring twin or king-sized beds and 2 featuring queen-sized beds. All double rooms have en-suite bathrooms containing showers. All rooms are equipped with air-conditioning, selected DStv channels (guest house package), bar fridges, tea and coffee-making facilities, and hairdryers. Free Wi-Fi is also available in the rooms.

The property provides safe parking, braai facilities, and a splash pool for warm summer days. It is a pet-friendly establishment. Guests can enjoy authentic Hantam Karoo lamb dishes at the on-site a la carte restaurant, which is open from Monday to Sunday from 17h30, with the kitchen closing at 21h00 from Monday to Saturday and 20h30 on Sundays. Booking is essential as the restaurant is also open to the public, and failure to reserve a table in advance may result in not being accommodated.
