Die Blouhuis Farmhouse Retreat

Die Blouhuis Farmhouse Retreat is a self-catering accommodation situated on a working farm between the towns of Swellendam and Bredasdorp. It provides an opportunity to explore various tourist attractions in the Overberg region, including the Breederiver Wine Route and De Hoop Nature Reserve.

The farmhouse operates without electricity, offering a unique and romantic experience. The fully equipped kitchen has a gas stove, oven, and a gas refrigerator and freezer. Two solar geysers ensure hot water for bathing.

Die Blouhuis can accommodate up to five guests in two bedrooms, with bedding and towels provided. There are two bathrooms and an additional separate toilet. The amenities include a slipper bath, an outdoor shower, an indoor fireplace, and an outdoor bonfire area.

The private and quiet setting makes it an ideal getaway for nature lovers. Guests are welcome to bring hiking gear or mountain bikes to explore the farm and surrounding areas. The nearby Soulspring Spa, situated on a dairy farm 20km away, offers a picture-perfect spa experience.

Being situated on a working farm, Die Blouhuis provides an opportunity for children to experience farm life, including the cultivation of barley, wheat, and canola, as well as grazing sheep and free-ranging antelope and bird species.

Die Blouhuis is located 35km from the beautiful Koppie Alleen beach in De Hoop Nature Reserve. It is also within an hour's drive from Arniston, Struisbaai/Aghulhas, and Infanta/Witsand.
