Die Hantamhuis Kompleks is a historic building complex located in Calvinia. The Hantam Huis serves as the hub of various activities related to the complex and the town. It is an authentic 18th-century building that was constructed in 1854 and laid out in a T-shape. It is regarded as the oldest authentic house in Calvinia.

The Hantam Huis underwent extensive restoration efforts that took over a decade to restore it to its original glory. This included the restoration of its authentic reed roof. In 1983, the building was declared a national monument in recognition of its historical significance.

Currently, the Hantam Huis serves as a licensed restaurant, offering traditional meals from early morning to late afternoon. The restaurant menu features delicacies such as homemade pies, including venison, bobotie, waterblommertjie-bredie, curried tripe, and bobotie. Sweet treats like brandy tart, apple tart, and koeksisters are also available, served with traditional coffee, rooibos tea, or ginger beer prepared according to an age-old recipe.

In addition to the restaurant, the Hantam Huis also houses a museum and curio shop, where handcrafted merchandise is sold. The complex serves as the reception area for guests arriving at various guesthouses, such as Dorphuis (Waterstaat), Hantam Herberg (Waterstraat), Loggie, and Annie's, all located in Waterstaat. The guesthouses offer accommodation with amenities like air conditioning, private bathrooms, and wireless internet access. Breakfast is available at Die Hantam Huis, with reservations required.
