Die Laaitjie is a picturesque self-catering accommodation nestled in the mountains at the base of Arangieskop, approximately 7km from Robertson in the Western Cape, South Africa. The property encompasses 330 hectares of pristine fynbos, featuring hiking trails, waterfalls, rock pools, and four dams, making it a haven for bird watchers, trail runners, and mountain bikers. The property's unique name derives from a family naming tradition, referencing the farm's position as the smallest and last in a row of properties.

The current owners discovered the farm in 2006 and undertook extensive renovations to transform the previously neglected house into a stylish, comfortable residence. The accommodation consists of three fully equipped two-bedroomed cottages and a main house with three bedrooms. The main house features three en-suite double bedrooms, one bedroom with two three-quarter beds, a kitchen, two sitting rooms, a television room, and two fireplaces, accommodating up to eight guests. The cottages each accommodate four guests and include stoeps (verandahs), internal fireplaces, and external braai (barbecue) facilities.

The property, while remote, is easily accessible via a scenic gravel road and is only a two-hour drive from Cape Town. The farm includes 25 hectares of peach, pear, and apricot trees, which create a spectacular display of blossoms during spring. The surrounding mountains offer various recreational activities, including hiking, walking, and horse-riding trails suitable for all skill levels. Horse-trailing can be arranged through a neighboring farm. The accommodation's style is characterized by simple, monastic design with predominantly white decor. The main house features an unfenced swimming pool on the verandah, while the cottages share access to a communal swimming pool in the orchards with a deck area. Please note that dogs are not permitted on the property.
