Die Waenhuis Guest House

Die Waenhuis Guest House is a remarkable 170-year-old historic guest house located on elegant Caledon Street, under the shade of age-old oak trees. It is characterized by old-fashioned and informal hospitality, offering eleven unique, stylish en-suite bedrooms and a memorable breakfast. All rooms are equipped with heaters or underfloor heating, coffee and tea trays, a carafe of sherry, TVs with M-Net, and other special treats and amenities.

The guest house features a magnificent lounge with original yellowwood floors and ceilings, as well as a Victorian fireplace where guests can gather around the fire on cool rainy days. The breakfast room is a cheerful, sunny place with an old Dover stove, where a farm-style breakfast is served while guests enjoy a view of the lush garden with George Peak in the background. Breakfast can also be served on the patio.

Die Waenhuis Guest House is ideally situated in the heart of George, making it convenient for tourists and corporate guests visiting George, Garden Route, Oudtshoorn, Mossel Bay, and Knysna. The authenticity of the guest house cannot be fabricated but only maintained. The rooms are furnished with either a double bed or twin beds.
