Diggersrest Lodge

Diggersrest Lodge is a mountain retreat perched atop the Magoebaskloof, near the charming village of Haenertsburg. Located over an hour from the Kruger National Park, the lodge offers stunning views of Georges Valley from its well-maintained gardens and is accessible via a 4km gravel road, with Tzaneen being a 30-minute drive away.

The Main Lodge House features four well-appointed en-suite bedrooms accommodating up to 10 guests. It includes a double-volume sitting area connected to the dining room, sun room, and a fully equipped kitchen. Two additional self-catering cottages are available, each sleeping four persons. All units come with fireplaces and are furnished with white linen and towels.

The property offers various accommodation options, including two-bedroom chalets, superior chalets with loft bedrooms, twin rooms with garden views, queen rooms with pool views, and family suites. Each unit features either a terrace or patio, and some include well-equipped kitchens with modern appliances. All accommodations have private bathrooms with bath or shower facilities.

This completely off-grid establishment includes a seasonal outdoor pool and secure private parking. Guests can participate in activities such as cycling, hiking, and birding, or visit the local Zwakala brewery. The lodge also provides spaces for relaxation, including a garden and viewing deck, where visitors can enjoy board games by the fire or spend time poolside depending on the weather.

The various units are thoughtfully designed to accommodate different group sizes, ranging from couples to families, with some units featuring loft areas and others offering full kitchen facilities. Some accommodations are located on the first floor or require stair access to bedrooms.
