Dirkie Uys Backpackers

Dirkie Uys Backpackers is an intimate backpackers situated in the heart of the Bluff in Durban. It is located a short 5-minute walk from local malls, pubs, and restaurants, and the local beach is just 3.6 kilometers away. It can accommodate just over 200 guests in its spacious dorm rooms.

Guests have full access to a wide range of shower and toilet facilities, a large swimming pool, a well-fitted BBQ/braai area, free parking, and a fully equipped communal kitchen. The Bluff is a popular holiday destination known for its abundant sea life, including dolphins, and whales during the winter months. It has two main beaches: Brighton Beach and Anstey's, as well as a smaller, lesser-known beach to the north called Garvie's.

The area also features a golf course and a wetland area with a large population of various bird species. It enjoys a sub-tropical climate, so visitors can expect mostly warm, humid weather, although sudden downpours, flooding, and unexpected cold weather are not unusual.
