Dockside Guest House

Dockside Guest House is situated directly across from the small boat harbour on the eastern bank of Port Alfred, in the Eastern Cape. The guest house offers warm and friendly hospitality to its guests. It enjoys magnificent views and is conveniently located close to the beaches and within easy access to the main road going through Port Alfred.

Each of the five bedrooms at Dockside Guest House has magnificent views overlooking the small harbour, the Kowie River, and the unique arched Kowie Bridge, which displays multicoloured lights each evening. The rooms are tastefully and elegantly decorated, equipped with DStv, bar fridges, hairdryers, and tea-and-coffee making facilities. Three of the bedrooms have separate entrances leading onto private patios and the tranquil garden.

There is a large open-plan lounge and dining area with spectacular views, where guests can enjoy a sundowner after a long relaxing day. Secure parking for up to five cars is available on the premises. The hosts, Pat and Des, assist guests in planning their stay and experiencing all that Port Alfred has to offer.

Port Alfred is known for its wonderful temperate climate, pristine endless beaches, friendly village atmosphere, and magnificent Kowie River, which flows out into the warm Indian Ocean. It offers a remarkable range of activities, including fishing, sandboarding, surfing, canoeing, horse riding across the beaches, hiking, and two well-known golf courses. Kelly's beach has recently been awarded the Blue Flag status, and there are endless opportunities for guests to enjoy the outdoors, wildlife, and magic of the area.
