Doornberg Guest Farm is a working sheep farm located in the heart of the Sneeuberg mountains, just outside Nieu Bethesda, a town known for its Owl House. It is a family-run farm, with the current owner, Peet, being the fifth generation to manage the property. The farm features many fields irrigated by mountain springs and is surrounded by 200-year-old oak trees, creating a lush oasis in the Karoo region.

The farm offers guests the opportunity to relax, soak up the sun, and enjoy the peace and quiet of the Karoo. Activities such as birdwatching, game viewing, and curling up in front of a log fire on cold winter evenings are available. Guests have access to all facilities on the farm and can experience true Karoo hospitality in a safe and secure environment.

The accommodation is equipped for self-catering, and linen and towels are provided. However, it is important to note that the village of Nieu Bethesda and the farm have no fuel or petrol stations, ATMs, or card facilities. Guests are advised to bring enough cash for purchases and meals and to fill up their vehicles before turning off the N9 road.

One of the accommodations on the farm is a house set in a garden with magnificent views, located near the swimming pool and trampoline. The house can accommodate up to 9 guests and comprises 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and a small bar fridge.
