Doringbos Lodge

Doringbos Lodge & Venue is a privately owned establishment situated on Rietpoort Farm in the North West Province, approximately 5 km outside of Parys on the R53 road to Potchefstroom. Conveniently located about an hour's drive from both OR Tambo and Lanseria Airports, the venue is nestled within the historic Vredefort Dome.

The property features a modern industrial-style wedding hall and offers comprehensive accommodation options. These include five self-catering chalets accommodating up to six persons each, a secluded honeymoon unit with panoramic farm views, and a renovated three-bedroom farmhouse with a veranda. Each chalet is equipped with modern amenities including gas heaters, DStv, safes, and alarm systems. The Pendoring Chalet is specifically designed to be wheelchair-friendly. The property utilizes solar energy as its primary power source and features a heated splash pool and boma.

The lodge is set against a backdrop of pristine nature and abundant wildlife. Visitors can observe various game species including Zebra, Giraffe, Black Wildebeest, Sable, Kudu, Springbuck, Eland, Waterbuck, Impala, Nyala, Blesbuck, Gemsbuck, and Red Hartbees. The venue can accommodate up to 120 guests for events and offers various activities including mountain biking, hiking, and bird watching. Its proximity to Parys provides easy access to additional attractions such as golf clubs, antique shops, champagne cruises, and eco-trails.
