Drakenzicht The Mountain Links & Lodge

Drakenzicht The Mountain Links & Lodge is situated high on a mountain-top at the edge of the Drakensberg escarpment, where the grasslands of the Mpumalanga Highveld meet the warm Lowveld. The lodge is located a two and a half hour drive from OR Tambo International Airport and enjoys uninterrupted views of the Schoemanskloof valley, known for its spectacular sunrises and sunsets. It is an ideal golf and country destination, perfect for family weekend getaways or a stopover en-route to the Kruger National Park, Mozambique or Swaziland.

All accommodation at Drakenzicht is available on a self-catering option, with breakfast and light lunches available in the clubhouse, and dinner by prior arrangement. The lodge offers accommodation for up to 25 guests in stone-built chalets, each facing towards the mountains and valley.

Drakenzicht is located in a malaria-free area and can be used as a central base for day excursions to the Kruger National Park, Blyde River Canyon, Graskop, Kaapsehoop, Sudwala caves, and more. Nearby activities include birding, mountain biking, swimming, star-gazing, and walking trails. The lodge is situated on the Mountain Links Golf Course.

One of the secluded chalets at Drakenzicht features a fully equipped kitchen, two bedrooms (one with a double bed and two single beds), a loft area with three single beds, two bathrooms (one en-suite), and a fireplace in the lounge. Outside, there is a braai area and patio with magnificent views. The chalet does not have televisions.
