Duwisib Guest Farm is a charming family-operated establishment situated on the edge of the Namib Desert in the Hardap region of Namibia. Located in a scenic valley adjacent to the Namib-Naukluft National Park, the property lies just 500 metres from the historic Duwisib Castle, a medieval fortress built in 1907 for German Baron Captain Hans Heinrich von Wolf.
The accommodation comprises eight guest rooms converted from red sandstone outbuildings, one stand-alone bungalow, and five camping sites. All rooms and the bungalow feature private bathrooms, while campsites are equipped with outdoor showers, wash-up areas, and BBQ facilities with access to communal ablutions. The former smithy now serves as the reception and dining area.
The facility offers modern amenities including a swimming pool with mountain views, free Wi-Fi in public areas, a social lounge, indoor and outdoor dining areas, and an airstrip. As a working sheep and cattle farm, guests can experience authentic farming life in Namibia's arid region.
Strategically positioned 433 km from Hosea Kutako International Airport and 464 km from Walvis Bay International Airport, Duwisib Guest Farm serves as an ideal stopover for travelers heading to Sossusvlei, Lüderitz, or the Fish River Canyon. The property offers various activities including nature drives and access to nearby attractions such as the NamibRand Nature Reserve, Naukluft, and Sesriem Canyon.
