Echo Terrace, located in the area, provides five spacious self-catering apartments overlooking False Bay. Guests can observe whales playing in the bay during the season, which may start as early as July. The apartments are a short stroll away from one of the safest, warm water swimming beaches in Cape Town, with various shops in close proximity. Some apartments feature beautiful small gardens with plunge pools, and all offer unsurpassed views of False Bay. A medium-sized shopping mall, Sun Valley, is a seven-minute drive away, offering excellent curio shops, grocery stores, clothing stores, and book stores. The surrounding area also features a variety of excellent restaurants.

Each unit at Echo Terrace is luxuriously furnished, including TV, DSTV satellite, a fully fitted kitchen with a dishwasher and microwave, an automatic washing machine, a tumble dryer, an iron, a portable music center, and a safe. Garden terrace units have a small plunge pool on the sea-facing garden, while upper terrace units offer a large covered balcony directly overlooking the bay. Garden and balcony furniture is provided for guests' enjoyment. Barbeque facilities can be arranged. Each unit has a separate entrance and secure off-street parking in a garage, a feature appreciated by guests. Well-behaved children over the age of 10 are welcome, and it is a non-smoking establishment.
