Eerstebosch

Eerstebosch is a small family-owned lifestyle property with 3 hectares of vineyard and horse stables. It is situated between the towns of Stellenbosch and Somerset West, approximately a 25-minute drive from Cape Town International Airport. The property is flanked by mountains and bordered by vineyards and the Eersterivier river.

Eerstebosch offers accommodation in the form of four cottages: Riverside, Mountainside, Vineyard View, and the Cosy Cottage. The one-bedroom cottages have fully equipped open-plan kitchens and a sleeper couch in the lounge area, while the Cosy Cottage has a one-bedroom with an open-plan kitchenette. All four cottages feature separate bathrooms with a shower, free WiFi, a TV with DStv, and a wood-burning fireplace in the living area.

Guests are welcomed with a complimentary drink, a bottle of wine, and a starter pack containing fresh coffee beans, milk, rusk, sugar, and wood for the fireplace. The cottages are also stocked with basic pantry items such as black pepper, salt, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, dish washing liquid, and dishwasher tablets. An honesty bar offers wine and local produce for purchase. Pre-prepared luxury meals can be arranged with the owners for arrival.

While the property is child-friendly, parents are advised to exercise caution around the open swimming pool area to ensure the safety of their children. Eerstebosch offers opportunities for a relaxed stay or an active break, with leisurely walks through the vineyards and cycling routes available in the surrounding area. The picturesque setting, flanked by mountains and bordered by vineyards and the Eersterivier, makes it an ideal location for visiting and enjoying the famous South African wine estates, restaurants, and markets.
