Egweni

Egweni, translated as "Place of the Vaal River" in the Zulu language, is a farm-style, architecturally designed establishment located along the banks of the Vaal River in the town of Parys, South Africa's Free State province. It is situated approximately 110 km south of Johannesburg. The establishment provides stylish accommodation consisting of five Double Rooms, two Single Rooms, and a Family Unit.

Each unit is an individually decorated luxury suite furnished and decorated with a focus on comfort. The tasteful decor, good service, and view over the beautiful Vaal River with its breathtaking rapids create a relaxed ambience where guests can unwind. The owners are developing a second phase that will include four state-of-the-art conference rooms and eight additional en-suite bedrooms. Future plans involve a restaurant, a chapel for intimate weddings, stylish picnic areas, a wellness center, and various entertainment areas along the river frontage to create a luxurious and popular resort along the Vaal River.

Egweni offers a warm welcome and relaxed stay for both tourists and business travelers visiting Parys. The establishment provides a river-facing unit with self-catering facilities, including a lounge, dining room, and fully equipped kitchen. The bedroom features a queen-sized bed, an en-suite shower, and a bathtub. It also has a stoep where guests can enjoy a braai while facing the river.
