Elands Rust

Elands Rust is a stone cottage located in the Southern Drakensberg mountains. It is decorated with period pieces and collectables from various parts of South Africa, creating a nostalgic and tranquil atmosphere. The cottage offers luxurious self-catering accommodation for up to six guests seeking a peaceful, charming, and exclusive retreat.

The cottage features a large living space comprising a kitchen, dining area, and a lounge. The lounge is equipped with twin Jet master fireplaces and underfloor heating. The fully-equipped kitchen includes modern appliances and granite countertops. All bedding, bath towels, and toiletries are provided. Elizabeth, the host, ensures that guests settle in comfortably and services the cottage on a daily basis.

For guests arriving by air, there is a one-kilometer grass landing strip located approximately 500 meters from the bottom of the property. Hangar facilities are available, and guests are advised to arrange for more details before arrival. The intention behind Elands Rust is to create a retreat for clientele who appreciate the dream realized and cherish the facilities and accommodation established. It is considered a home away from home, and guests are welcomed to share in that experience.

The luxurious lodge features two bedrooms, each with extra-length, king-size beds adorned with pure cotton linen and goose down duvets with electric blankets. The upstairs main bedroom is spacious and open-plan. The lodge features a vast open-plan living area with a fully equipped kitchen.
