Elandsheim

Elandsheim is situated in the heart of the Zulu Wars battlefields, located 14 km from Rorkeu201au00c4u00f4s Drift and 33 km from Isandlwana. It is set in a tranquil Zululand thornveld environment, and there are two game reserves within a five-minute drive from the property. Originally developed as a retreat by the Lutheran congregation at Elandskraal, Elandsheim has now become a popular venue for large groups, educational tours, functions, and budget-friendly bed and breakfast accommodations. It can comfortably accommodate up to 120 persons in its bed and breakfast flats and rustic wooden huts.

Elandsheim has become a popular wedding venue, with the historic stone-built Lutheran church available for wedding services, wooden huts for guest accommodations, and an attractive wooden floor hall that can seat up to 120 guests for receptions. If additional seating is required, there are outdoor dining areas and extensive, attractive grounds shaded by beautiful acacia trees. The prices quoted are for accommodation only and include linen. Meals can be offered at an additional cost and should be booked prior to check-in. For large groups, cheaper rates are available that exclude linen and cutlery, but these can be supplied at an additional cost.

Elandsheim partners with local tour guides and can assist in arranging tours at an additional cost. On-site facilities include a church hall for receptions of up to 130 people, a venue for garden weddings of up to 150 people, full catering services, a zip line, an obstacle course, giant Foosball, a volleyball court, bass fishing in a dam (guests must bring their own rod and bait), and hiking trails. Mountain biking is also available, but guests must bring their own bikes. Game walks can be arranged prior to arrival at a neighboring game reserve. The property features dormitories, each sleeping up to 16 guests in bunk beds.
