Elandsrus Country Lodge

Elandsrus Country Lodge is situated in the Three Sisters area, a well-known landmark for travelers on the N1 between Johannesburg and Cape Town. Elandsfontein Farm, where the lodge is located, is an active working sheep farm that also hosts guests seeking to experience the beautiful surroundings of the Karoo.

The old farmhouse, built in 1924 and renovated in 2003, offers two farm-style rooms with en-suite bathrooms for guests. Whether seated outside enjoying nature and the bush or utilizing the indoor facilities, visitors can experience a sense of space, peace, quiet, and true Karoo hospitality.

The lodge features four en-suite rooms with a large entertainment area for relaxation, self-catering facilities, and four braai areas. For those interested in experiencing true Karoo hospitality and homemade meals, dinner and breakfast are served in the dining room of the farmhouse.

Adventure seekers can explore the farm's many roads for walking and bird watching, spot small antelope, and take in the diverse array of vegetation accompanied by the sounds of nature. Guests are encouraged to bring their mountain bikes for rides with breathtaking views, and to witness the beautiful stars that light up the night sky.

The lodge's hosts, Patrys and JH van der Merwe, welcome guests to experience Karoo hospitality at its best on this beautiful Karoo farm. Small and intimate weddings and other functions for up to 50 people can be accommodated, with garden and stretch tent options available in the restaurant area. Farm-style catering options are offered, and there are additional accommodation options within 12 km of the lodge.

The farm is very child and family-friendly, with open spaces to be enjoyed and free entrance to all areas on the farm. The Karoo Jewel is a beautiful room in the old farmhouse, with the old lounge converted into a romantic Karoo setting. It features a huge walk-in shower, a fireplace, and full DStv. Parking is available close to the side entrance.
