Elegant Lodge

The Elegant Lodge is situated in Pongola, just off the N2 highway, between Pretoria and Durban. It is located conveniently opposite the golf course in a quiet area. The upmarket double-storey guest house offers secure parking, a lovely landscaped garden with a swimming-pool, and fifteen rooms with en-suite bathrooms.

The lodge has two luxury rooms with a shower and a bath, as well as five double rooms, three double/twin rooms, and five single rooms. All the rooms are equipped with amenities such as a flat-screen TV with DStv, air-conditioner, bar fridge, hairdryer, safe, a coffee station, and Wi-Fi.

Guests can relax in the lounge watching TV, play pool, or enjoy their own drinks at the bar. The lodge is not licensed to sell liquor, but guests are welcome to bring their own. Soft drinks are sold at the bar area. Breakfast can be enjoyed either inside or outside on order the previous night. A three-course home-cooked dinner is offered on request and must be ordered by 12h00 on the same day of arrival. Dinner is served from 18h00-20h00, and breakfast is served from 7H00-9H00.

Opposite the swimming-pool is a lovely venue where conferences and functions are held. The lodge does not have a 24-hour reception or staff on duty 24 hours, and a late arrival fee of R300.00 is charged after 21h00 in the evenings, payable immediately upon arrival. The newly built venue offers the opportunity for weddings, with the lodge providing catering and decor services. The venue overlooks the swimming pool and a lovely landscaped garden, accommodating a maximum of 75 guests for weddings.

The Elegant Lodge has two luxurious rooms offered to guests who desire extra space and comfort. It is located opposite the Pongola Golf course, allowing guests to easily walk across the street and play a round of golf. The lodge has a lovely big garden for children to play and a swimming-pool for those hot days. A typical room features a double bed, en-suite bathroom, flat-screen TV with DSTV, WiFi, bar fridge, air-conditioner, hair dryer, and tea/coffee station.
