Elephant Plains Game Lodge

Elephant Plains Game Lodge is situated in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, adjacent to the Kruger National Park. It offers comfortable style and affordable luxury. The lodge accommodates a maximum of 22 guests, ensuring personal service and a warm, friendly atmosphere. It overlooks a permanent waterhole on the banks of the Manyeleti River, and the pool deck guarantees excellent viewing of animals coming from the plains to drink.

The lodge comprises six luxury suites, each with a lounge area and private deck with views of the riverbed. Additionally, there are five original rondawels set in a beautifully landscaped garden. All rooms have en suite bathrooms with shower, bath, and air-conditioning. The bar is an ideal place for guests to relax and share experiences.

Mealtimes at Elephant Plains Game Lodge are mouthwatering events, complemented by carefully selected wines from the cellar. Tasty international cuisine and South African specialties are presented buffet-style in the boma under the open skies. The lodge is world-renowned for excellent game-viewing. Experienced rangers and trackers endeavor to find the Big 5 and share with guests the magnificent sights and sounds of the bush. Bush walks are offered daily, providing the opportunity to take a closer look at flora and fauna.

Malaria precautions are necessary during the summer months, as the lodge is in an endemic area. Insect repellent and anti-malarial tablets are recommended, and all rooms have mosquito nets over the beds. The lodge runs an environmentally friendly program, treating the whole camp and surrounding dams, resulting in few mosquitoes. Guests are advised not to use a GPS to get to the lodge and instead contact the lodge for detailed directions and a map.

There are two game drives per day, during which experienced game rangers and local Shangaan trackers share their extensive knowledge and love of the African bush with guests. Each drive lasts about three hours with an intermediate break. The Manyeleti honeymoon suite provides honeymooners or guests who are romantic at heart with elegance, privacy, and a stunning view.

The lodge has a children's program including painting, drawing, beading, constructing an ant farm, mini bushwalks, and more. Special children's menus are available, and babysitting can be arranged. Additionally, there is an exclusive open plan suite overlooking the dry riverbed with an outdoor sala and private plunge pool. The suite includes air conditioning, overhead fans, a fireplace, mini-bar, tea and coffee station, and an electronic safe.
