Elephant's Nest

Elephant's Nest is an elegantly designed, African-themed guest lodge with an intimate atmosphere and ample personal attention. It offers views over a sprawling garden, mountains, and verandahs. The main area features a veranda, a wooden deck, an undercover barbeque area, a dining room with a wood-burning iron stove, a comfortable lounge with a fireplace, TV, music system, and library. It features mahogany and antique furniture, an information booth, credit card facilities, and offers dinner, light meals, and drinks served throughout the day, as well as secure undercover parking.

Elephant's Nest provides mountain biking trails, hiking trails ranging from half an hour to five hours through natural forests and mountain terrain, including the 79 km, 5-day Fanie Botha hiking trail with drop-off services available. Other activities in the region include horse riding and trout fishing. The lodge offers fully inclusive, escorted tours to all the sights as well as the Moholoholo private game reserve.

The accommodation includes a family unit that sleeps four (catering for 2 adults with 2 children), situated in the main building of the guest house. If there is a small baby, a camping cot with bedding is provided. The rate includes a full 'elephant breakfast'. All rooms are en-suite with a private safe, oil heater, coffee and tea facilities, daily clean sheets and towels, a large bathroom with a bath and separate shower, and soap, bath salts, and oils. Smoking is not permitted inside the units.
