Escarp Adventures

Escarp Adventures is an owner-operated nature farm situated on the scenic Skurweberg mountain, within the Mpumalanga Drakensberg Escarpment between eNtokozweni and eManzana. The 2000-hectare property offers diverse accommodation options suitable for various preferences and requirements.

The flagship accommodation, the historic Kruger House Lodge, features six luxurious en-suite rooms accommodating twelve guests. It includes a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, lounge, and indoor braai area. The lodge's spacious patio provides views of fish ponds, wildlife-rich rolling hills, and the Komati River Valley stretching toward eSwatini.

Additional self-catering options include Kudu Cottage and Tarentaal Chalet, both offering fully equipped kitchens, dining and living areas, and outdoor facilities. These units provide a mountain retreat atmosphere with complete privacy and comfort.

The property features four distinct hiking camps: the Pongola Express Railway Coach camp, housed in a preserved 1911 railway sleeper and dining coach; Aloe Kaya camp, positioned among sandstone formations with unique outdoor facilities; Candlewood camp, overlooking the 85-meter Uitkomst waterfall; and Mt Komati camp, featuring stone-under-thatch huts along the Komati river. Each camp provides dormitory-style accommodation with shared facilities.

The property is home to the High5 Hiking Trail, offering over 60 kilometers of professionally designed trails suitable for varying fitness and experience levels.
