Esigodini Cottage

Esigodini is a holiday cottage situated in a valley, with the Zulu name translating to "Place in the Valley." It can accommodate up to 10 people across five bedrooms in three separate dwellings: IVY COTTAGE, OAK SUITE, and WILLOW HUT. The cottage is located in its own valley, approximately 1 km from the Drakensberg Gardens hotel and 4 km from a convenience store. Nearby hotels and restaurants offer dining options for guests.

The main house, IVY COTTAGE, is fully equipped and well-appointed with three bedrooms, one of which is an inter-leading family suite with two single beds and a double bed. The third bedroom has a double bed. The lounge features a combustion fireplace, and the dining room can seat 10 people. The kitchen is fully equipped with two fridges and a microwave. There is a separate toilet and bathroom with a bathtub. The OAK SUITE, located outside, consists of a large bedroom with a double bed and a separate bathroom with a shower. A few meters away, WILLOW HUT is a thatched rondavel with two single beds.

The property includes a braai area with a fire pit, suitable for relaxing evenings under the stars. Linen is provided, but guests are requested to bring their own towels, charcoal, and firelighters. One basket of wood is supplied per day, with additional wood available for purchase at the convenience store. The 20-acre, tree-filled garden features a small dam and stream, surrounded by rambling roses and lush green grass, offering a commanding view of the Rhino Peak of the Drakensberg escarpment. The birdlife is abundant, providing a peaceful and comfortable refuge for a relaxing getaway and an ideal base to explore the beauty of the Southern Drakensberg.

Low Season Rate: R1800 per night for the first six people, with an additional R180 per person per night up to 10 people. High Season Rate: R2000 per night for the first six people, with an additional R200 per person per night up to 10 people. A minimum two-night booking is required, with a three-night minimum for long weekends and a four-night minimum for Easter weekend.
