Fairview Estates

Fairview Estates is a collection of working farms located near Fouriesburg on the Free State-Lesotho border. The property spans 4000 hectares and comprises two main areas: Inhoek, which houses the Twin Towers and Damn Caravan, and De Rust, where a cottage is situated. The estate maintains active farming operations, including cattle farming, Estancia Alpacas breeding, maize and bean cultivation, and a recently established Appaloosa horse breeding program.

The Twin Towers accommodation is a four-level structure suitable for families or groups, featuring three bedrooms and an entertainment area. The property includes modern amenities and is furnished with an eight-seater table, though it's not recommended for children under four due to its open spiral staircase.

De Rust Farm Cottage, accessible only by 4x2 diff-lock vehicle, offers four bedrooms with mountain views. The cottage is fully equipped with modern kitchen facilities and comfortable living spaces, including an indoor fireplace and outdoor braai facilities.

The Damn Caravan, a converted park home situated near the dam, operates exclusively on gas and candles. It features three bedrooms and is equipped with gas appliances throughout, including a wood-burning stove and open-pit braai area.

The Opstal, a sandstone house, provides six bedrooms with three bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen. The property includes a dining room, lounge with fireplace, and braai facilities on the veranda.

While no formal activities are arranged, guests can explore the extensive property independently through walking and mountain biking. Nearby attractions include the Ash River Outfall near Clarens, the Basotho Cultural Village, and the Bushmen Paintings at Schaapplaat. All accommodations, except the Damn Caravan, are equipped with electric blankets and oil heaters, and feature crisp white percale linen.
