Fernkloof Lodge

Fernkloof Lodge is an establishment that offers accommodation with elegantly decorated rooms in a home setting. The lodge is situated at the foot of the Hermanus Mountains, overlooking the 21st tee of the Hermanus Golf Course. The owners, Gail and Izak Kenney, have created a warm and inviting atmosphere by combining antique and modern decor pieces, along with a collection of artworks, African curios, and an extensive book collection.

The indigenous garden, patio, and sparkling swimming pool provide a tranquil environment for guests seeking relaxation and privacy. Fernkloof Lodge offers 4-star graded bed and breakfast accommodation, as well as self-catering units suitable for families. The rooms are en-suite and equipped with amenities such as tea and coffee trays, bar fridges, TVs, electric blankets, and wall heaters. Breakfast, dinner, and picnic baskets are available upon request.

Hermanus, known as the "Riviera of the South," has maintained its status as a luxury holiday destination, featuring upscale holiday homes, cafes, shops, and craft markets. The town is renowned for its Cliff Paths along the coastline and is a prime location for whale watching during the calving season. Hermanus features several beaches, including the popular Grotto Beach, a Blue Flag beach with ample facilities and a picturesque mountain backdrop.

Other notable attractions in the area include white shark cage diving and surface viewing in Gansbaai, located a short drive from Hermanus. Fernkloof Lodge does not accommodate children younger than five years old, and for the bed and breakfast tariff, children pay half price.
