Ficksburg Country Cottage

Ficksburg Country Cottage is a bed and breakfast homestay located in Ficksburg. It is recommended and BBEE compliant. The establishment features five rooms and offers a haven of serenity, assuring guests of outstanding hospitality and personal service. The rooms are comfortable and en-suite, with secure parking available.

Three private rooms are situated away from the main house. Additionally, there is a swimming pool and braai facilities on the premises. Delicious breakfast and cuisine are served in the dining room, with dinner available upon request. The property is situated in town, with the golf course, gym, and several restaurants within a 2 km distance.

A closed 8 x 6 meter self-catering lapa can be rented out for R200.00. The lapa features a thatched roof, sandstone brick construction, a built-in braai area, dishwashing basin, microwave, braai pan, and a refrigerator. Cutlery and crockery are provided.

Ficksburg borders Lesotho, and a trip to the Katse Dam is highly recommended. The scenery is indescribable. The road to the dam is in good condition, suitable for any vehicle. Passports are required for the 150 km journey, which takes approximately 3 hours each way, including a 1-hour tour of the dam wall.

The Cherry Festival takes place in November, and guests are advised to book well in advance to avoid disappointment. The friendly hosts are Susan and C.M. Kotze. A double room with a bath only is also available.
