Firefly Eco Lodge

The Firefly Eco Lodge is located in a pristine forest in Port Edward, on the South Coast of KwaZulu Natal. It consists of five log cabins and one tented suite, set within its own 8 hectares of forest with a private dam. The lodge is home to various small wildlife, including shy duiker, bush buck, resident likkewaan, african pythons, bush pigs, and an array of birds like resident fish eagles, making it a bird watcher's dream.

Guests can enjoy a stroll to the dam or visit the vegan and vegetarian-friendly Firefly Cafe, where they can savor a coffee while sitting on the deck overlooking the valley. The lodge offers yoga classes, and visitors can also walk or drive to nearby local beaches. The Firefly Eco Lodge provides everything needed for a relaxing getaway.

The Beaumonde Cabin features three bedrooms and can accommodate six adults, with a sleeper couch in the lounge for two small children. The large main bedroom has two double beds, an en-suite bathroom with a shower, and a unique private balcony that doubles as a secure cattery for guests who wish to bring their cats on vacation. The second and third bedrooms each have king-size beds that can be converted into two singles, and they share a bathroom with a shower, bath, toilet, and basin.

This self-catering unit is equipped with a kitchenette featuring a stove, oven, fridge, microwave, coffee and tea-making facilities, crockery, and cutlery. The lounge area offers comfortable seating where guests can enjoy their meals together, and it has its own private balcony overlooking the forest and dam. The Beaumonde Cabin is a pet-friendly unit with a fully fenced-in garden, ensuring dogs are safe and secure.
