Fiume Bush Camp

Fiume Bush Camp is a unique wilderness retreat located 75 kilometers northeast of Grootfontein, Namibia, on the D2844 road. The camp is thoughtfully positioned on a small Kalahari dune with views overlooking a natural pan, surrounded by pristine bushland.

The facility features eight sophisticated tented accommodations arranged in a half-circle formation, each strategically placed between indigenous shrubs and bushes to ensure guest privacy. Each tent comes equipped with twin beds, en-suite bathrooms, coffee stations, and basic lighting. Hot water for showers is provided twice daily through traditional fire heating methods, and while modern amenities such as Wi-Fi, television, and air conditioning are intentionally absent, basic electricity is available for lighting and device charging. A small plunge pool offers guests a refreshing respite from the African heat.

The dining experience at Fiume Bush Camp takes place either under a canopy of Tamboti trees or within a traditional Lapa structure. Evenings center around a communal campfire where guests can share their travel experiences. The camp's philosophy focuses on providing an authentic bush experience reminiscent of traditional San/Bushmen lifestyle, emphasizing a return to nature and escape from modern civilization's demands. This establishment deliberately maintains a rustic atmosphere to allow guests to fully immerse themselves in the tranquility of the Namibian wilderness.
