Five Assegais Country Estate

The Five Assegais Country Estate is a stone farmhouse situated on a 1500 hectare nature conservancy. The estate features four well-stocked trout dams, two of which are exclusive to lodge guests, with the opportunity for swimming.

Visitors can explore the estate's stunning hiking trails, ranging from leisurely walks to the more challenging 13.5 kilometer Escarpment Trail. The trails offer the chance to discover gorges, indigenous forests, sandstone labyrinths, and numerous waterfalls, including the Uitkomst Falls, which is the second highest in Mpumalanga. Wildlife enthusiasts can spot buck game such as zebras, hartebeest, and wildebeest, as well as various bird species like fish eagles, hammerkops, and Bald Ibis.

The Five Assegais Country Estate is located approximately three hours from Johannesburg, midway between Machadodorp and Badplaas in Mpumalanga.
