Forest Valley Cottages is a luxury self-catering accommodation situated on the outskirts of Knysna, Western Cape, South Africa. The property features eight fully-equipped cottages positioned on the edge of an indigenous forest valley, offering spectacular views of the Outeniqua Mountains.

Located on the Cape Town side of Knysna Lagoon, the establishment is a 15-minute drive from the town center and its pristine blue flag beach, and 8 minutes from the famous Knysna Lagoon. The property is particularly well-suited for honeymoons, anniversaries, and romantic getaways, offering a perfect balance of seclusion and accessibility.

Each cottage is uniquely designed with a contemporary natural aesthetic and features luxury amenities including king or queen-size beds, Jacuzzi or hydro-spa baths, and private decks with Weber barbecue facilities. Specific units like Earth Rose and Lavender Edge offer enhanced features such as his-and-hers showers and outdoor spa facilities with panoramic views. The newer additions, Birdsong and Gorgeous Olive, were specifically designed for couples with special attention to romantic details.

All units come equipped with fully functional kitchens, wood-burning fireplaces, DStv, and CD players. Some cottages feature air-conditioning and heating units. The property also includes a plunge pool with seating area for guest use during warmer months. Daily housekeeping services are provided, including bed-making, dish-washing, and cleaning of barbecue and fireplace facilities.

During power outages, the property runs generators at peak times, and the establishment is not affected by Knysna water problems. The location is ideal for nature enthusiasts, being close to state forests that have inspired famous writers, and offers various hiking trails for guests to explore. Winter specials are available during May, June, part of July, and throughout August.
