Forest Valley Cottages

Forest Valley Cottages offers romantic hideaways designed for couples seeking casual luxury and honeymoon accommodations. These cottages are built at treetop height, providing amphitheater views of the deep indigenous forest, valleys, and mountains surrounding Knysna.

The stylishly furnished cottages feature a natural contemporary feel with queen-size beds and quality linens. Each unit includes a Jacuzzi or hydro-spa bath. The EARTH ROSE cottage features a hydro tub that opens to gorgeous views from the deck, while LAVENDER EDGE has a 4-person Jacuzzi overlooking stunning vistas. A new unit opened in November 2018, specifically designed for couples, featuring a Jacuzzi/spa and breathtaking views.

The cottages provide invigorating bath salts, goodies, and candles for guests to enjoy while sipping champagne or wine. Some en-suite bathrooms also have showers. The lounges are equipped with wood-burning fireplaces, and wood is available for purchase on the deck. During winter, firewood, charcoal, and firelighters are available for purchase. Some units have air-conditioning and heating units, and all cottages offer DStv and CD players. The fully equipped kitchens are suitable for self-catering, including microwaves, stoves, ovens, and fridge-freezers.

Certain units feature private courtyards and lapas, where guests can enjoy the forest night calls. All cottages have private decks with tables and chairs, providing stunning views. A plunge pool with seating overlooking the magnificent vistas is available for guests during warm weather. The housekeepers service the cottages daily, making beds, washing dishes, cleaning Weber barbecues, and fireplaces, with towels changed as water allows.

A winter special runs from May to June, July 15 to 30, and throughout August. Forest Valley Cottages is located on the Cape Town side of Knysna, the lovely forested side, 8 minutes by car from the lagoon, 12 km out of Knysna, and 15 kilometers from the town center. The cottages are situated close to beaches, forests, and en-route to the state forests, where famous writers have based their books. Guests can enjoy a stay, getaway, or honeymoon at the beautiful Forest Valley Cottages, including a luxurious honeymoon love nest with a large Jacuzzi under the decking, air-conditioning, electric blanket, Weber gas BBQ, and DStv, offering stunning high-up views.
