Furrows Lodge

Furrows Lodge is a peaceful retreat nestled in a small pristine forest overlooking Kompasberg (Compass Mountain) in Nieu-Bethesda, Eastern Cape, South Africa. The property caters exclusively to business and leisure travelers aged 12 and above, with no pets permitted.

The lodge features four self-catering suites, each accommodating up to two guests. The Master Suite, Suite 2, Suite 3, and the Honeymoon Suite all offer well-appointed accommodations with king-size beds (twin option available in Suite 2), en-suite bathrooms, and kitchenettes equipped with essential amenities. Additionally, the property includes the Karoo Cottage on Hudson Street, which can accommodate up to four guests and is conveniently located near Die Waenhuis Restaurant.

The establishment offers excellent stargazing and astrophotography opportunities due to minimal light pollution. Guests can observe the celestial "Big Five," including the brightest star, closest star, largest globular cluster, most beautiful open cluster, and closest galaxies. The Milky Way is particularly visible between February and October, with peak visibility during winter months.

Property amenities include a splash pool and two braai areas (fire pits), with air conditioning available in all rooms. The lodge is situated close to popular attractions such as the famous Owl House, galleries, restaurants, a beer brewery, and the local pub. While the property offers numerous conveniences, it should be noted that it is not wheelchair accessible.
