Glen Harry Game Reserve

Glen Harry Game Reserve was established in 2010 with the vision of creating a sanctuary where guests can immerse themselves in tranquility and serenity amidst awe-inspiring scenery and landscapes. The reserve blends in with its surroundings, using local stone to create rustic wilderness chalets and a lapa that seamlessly integrate with the natural environment.

The privately located sleeping chalets offer breathtaking, uninterrupted views of the reserve, allowing guests to witness wild animals roaming nearby. The chalets feature high-quality cotton percale bed linen, sumptuous towels, separate inside and outside seating areas, ample wardrobe space, a fridge, and coffee/tea making facilities. Additionally, the chalets are equipped with heating and air conditioning, ensuring comfort in any season, as well as en-suite bathrooms with a wash hand basin, large shower, and separate toilet. Complimentary shower and hair products are provided for guests' convenience.

A lantern-lit trail leads to the communal seating, bar, and dining areas, where guests can enjoy delicious food served alongside roaring log fires. A selection of fine South African wines, spirits, beers, and soft drinks are available on an individual charge basis. The reserve also features a boma offering the perfect setting for stargazing and storytelling, as well as a built-in braai creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for communal gatherings.

Glen Harry Game Reserve offers a range of unforgettable experiences, including morning, evening, and night game drives, game walks, stargazing, mountain biking, running trails, campfires, swimming in a salt pool, and a bushman painting tour by the San People. With 177 bird species to discover, bird enthusiasts will be in paradise, particularly with the nesting Black Eagles.

Eland Cottage is one of the four beautiful stone chalets at the Lapa Lodge, equipped with everything necessary for a comfortable stay, including twin/king beds and an en-suite bathroom with a shower.
