Glenmore Sands

Glenmore Sands is a resort located seven kilometers north of Port Edward and approximately a 30-minute drive south of Margate. The resort is situated on Glenmore Beach, offering magnificent sea views from most of its units. The original structure, known as the Green Dolphin Hotel, was constructed in the early 1900s and was converted into self-catering units around 1983. The area surrounding the restaurant and reception area remains part of this original building.

The resort features a collection of old photographs and artifacts that provide a fascinating glimpse into its history. The well-maintained gardens at Glenmore Sands are home to a colony of Hyrax rock rabbits, commonly referred to as dassies, which are protected in this area. Additionally, the resort is a regular destination for Vervet Monkeys.

One of the accommodations offered at Glenmore Sands is a lovely one-bedroom apartment. It is furnished with a queen-size bed and has a bathroom with a shower. The kitchenette in the apartment is equipped with a microwave, fridge, and oven. Wi-Fi access is available, and the unit also features a TV and DSTV. However, it is important to note that this particular unit does not offer a sea view.
