Goibib Guest Farm

Goibib Mountain Lodge is situated in the Great Karas Mountains of Southern Namibia, offering a tranquil retreat between Grunau and Keetmanshoop, just off the B1 road connecting Cape Town and Windhoek. The property, set along the dry Goibib River, functions as both a lodging establishment and a working farm, notable for its breeding herd of unique Nguni cattle.

The lodge provides various accommodation options, including standard double rooms, family rooms with modern amenities, and camping facilities. All family rooms feature en-suite bathrooms, air-conditioning, television with local and satellite channels, mini bars, built-in safes, coffee/tea stations, and wireless internet connection, with one room being wheelchair accessible. The camping area offers both caravan sites with power points and shaded campsites, all with access to communal facilities and lodge amenities including a swimming pool and braai facilities.

Guests can experience diverse activities including sunrise and sundowner nature drives in air-conditioned 4x4 vehicles, offering opportunities to spot local wildlife such as oryx, springbok, and nocturnal creatures like aardvarks, bat-eared foxes, honey badgers, and porcupines. The dining experience features buffet-style meals served in the dining room or on the terrace, offering both continental and full English breakfast options. Evening meals showcase Namibian-inspired cuisine, including game, venison, poultry, or fish, with the option of traditional braai in the boma during warmer evenings. The lodge accommodates special dietary requirements with advance notice.
