Gooding's Country House

Gooding's Country House is an establishment that offers comfortable accommodation in the Breede River Valley, situated on an olive farm located between the historical towns of McGregor and Bonnievale in the Robertsons winelands region. It provides ideal accommodation for families or romantic getaways, offering a charming Hartbeeshuisie cottage or a three-bedroom Karoo-Georgian country house.

The restored country house features three large en-suite bedrooms, a spacious living area with an open fireplace, a well-equipped kitchen, wide verandas, a plunge pool, and shady picnic areas. From the wide verandas, guests can enjoy breathtaking views over the valley, mountains, and olive groves. Hidden in the olive grove alongside is the Hartbeeshuisie, which has also been recently restored with its own lounge, kitchen, and en-suite bedroom.

The property features an olive grove of 3,000 mature olive trees, fynbos and renosterveld vegetation, home to the blue crane. Picturesque river banks, shady forests, and spectacular mountains are available for guests to explore. The Hartbeeshuisie is a historical fully equipped cottage with two rooms en-suite. Two people can book the cottage for R1000 per night, or four people can book the cottage for R1400 per night.
