Grace's Place

Grace's Place is a charming accommodation establishment located in Beaufort West, the largest town in the Great Karoo region of South Africa, conveniently situated near the N1 highway. Known as "the heart of the Karoo," the town offers visitors a rich historical experience.

The main cottage is a fully equipped self-catering unit featuring two bedrooms - a master bedroom with a double bed and a second bedroom with a single bed - sharing a bathroom with shower facilities. The unit comes complete with a fully equipped kitchen including a fridge and microwave. Modern amenities include air conditioning and a television with selected DStv channels. Secure parking is provided behind a security gate.

A separate unit, Grace 3, offers additional accommodation with its own private entrance. This unit features a queen bed and a sleeper couch suitable for children under 12, complete with a private bathroom, kitchenette, air conditioning, WiFi, flat-screen TV with full DSTV, and a dedicated braai area.

Beaufort West itself holds significant historical value, particularly relating to the Anglo Boer War, with local residents sharing compelling stories of the battle that took place there. The town is also home to a museum dedicated to Doctor Christiaan Barnard, the pioneering surgeon who performed the first successful human heart transplant, featuring his awards and a replica of the original transplant theater.
